All desktop PCs now ship with the latest version of Ubuntu, version 8.04. Hardy Heron is a long term support release, making it ideal for corporate and business use. Just a few of its key new features include Firefox 3, the GNOME 2.2 desktop environment, Xorg 7.3 with improved multi-monitor support, dynticks support for better AMD64 power management, improved granular security with PolicyKit, the PulseAudio sound server, and easy Active Directory integration using Likewise Open.
